BEV HENRY EMERGENCY FUND

Our Bev Henry Emergency Fund was originally established several years ago as an Emergency Assistance Program. SIEOC’s previous Executive Director, Bev Henry, always did everything possible to try to meet the needs of families, even if it meant pulling money out of her own pocket to help someone. Bev had a passion for her job and the community. It is because of that passion and her leadership that we chose to rename the fund after her. Bev was diagnosed with breast cancer in the Spring of 1996 and fought a long and courageous battle until her passing in October of 2006. We continue to provide this program in Bev’s memory knowing that it touches many lives and hopefully leaves everyone better than we found them.

We continually see the need arise in our communities for basic things such as shelter or housing costs, utility bills, food, clothing, medical needs or school supplies in an emergency situation. We do our best at SIEOC to address family needs or other community needs with various resources that we or others may offer, but sometimes all of those needs cannot be met. That is where we may be able to help families with our Bev Henry Emergency Funds.

We are totally dependent on donations to provide this program and 100% of those donations go directly to assisting families. And this program is based on need basis, not on an income basis.

Please consider donating to our Bev Henry Emergency Fund.
